Hausa ist diejenige tschadische Sprache mit der größten Sprecherzahl. Sie wird von ca. 30 Millionen Menschen gesprochen. Sie wird hauptsächlich im Niger und im Norden von Nigeria gesprochen. Es ist eine Tonsprache.
