Ostrau
Ostrau (tschechisch Ostrava) ist die größte und wichtigste Stadt in Nordmähren an der Grenze zu Polen. Die Stadt ist Zentrum eines Ballungsgebietes (Steinkohleförderung) und Hauptstadt des Ostrauer Bezirkes. Ostrau ist Partnerstadt von Dresden und entstand aus der Zusammenlegung von Schlesisch-Ostrau und Mährisch-Ostrau.
