Synonym
Ein Synonym ist ein Wort, das in einem bestimmten Zusammenhang die gleiche Bedeutung hat wie ein anderes Wort. Den umgekehrten Fall, in dem ein Wort verschiedene Bedeutung hat, nennt man Homonym bzw. Polysem.
Das Gegenteil (zur Bedeutung) nennt sich Antonym.
Beispiele für Synonyme:
- senkrecht - vertikal
- Orange - Apfelsine
- Tomate - Paradeiser
- Fahrstuhl - Lift
