Zweites Konzil von Nicäa
Das Zweite Konzil von Nicäa wurde von Kaiserin Irene im Jahr 787 in der kleinen Stadt Nicäa bei Konstantinopel einberufen. Es erlaubte im Bilderstreit die Verehrung von Ikonen.
