When the communists took over, the yeshivah moved to Kletzk in Poland. With the outbreak of World War II, Reb Ahron and the yeshivah went to Vilna. Reb Aharon was forced to leave from pressure, but many of his Talmidim didn't survive the war.
In 1943, Reb Ahraon founded Beis Medresh Gevorah in Lakewood, New Jersey, which is today run by his grandson, Rav Malkiel Kotler shlita. Reb Ahraon founded Vaad Hatzolah, a rescue orginization for European Jews. He also founced chinuch Atzmai and was the head of the Agudah. In 1962, Reb Aharon was niftar. His yeshivah BMG, now has over 2,000 Kollel yunkelight and bochurim.
