Alan Baker

Alan Baker is a mathematician born on August 19 1939 in London, England. In 1970, when he was 31 years old, he was awarded the Fields Medal at the International Congress at Nice for his work on Diophantine equations.

As of 2001, he taught pure mathematics at Trinity College, Cambridge.

His interests are:

  1. Number theory,
  2. Transcendence,
  3. Logarithmic forms,

  5. Diophantine geometry,
  6. Diophantine analysis.
