Alberich

In Norse mythology, King Alberich of the dwarves. lived in a palace underground, decorated with gems and expensive metals. He was a magician, and guardian of the treasure of Nibelung. In another version he is known as Andvari.

He gave:

• Balmung to Sigurd
• Brisingamen to Freya
• Draupnir to Odin
• the cloak that granted invisibility to Sigurd
• Tyrfing to Odin
