Amphetamine IT-290, also known as alpha-methyltryptamine or AMT, is a tryptamine, is the indole analogue of amphetamine. When abused as a drug, the effects of AMT can last up to 18 hours. On 4 April 2003, AMT became a Schedule I substance under the Controlled Substances Act, after an emergency FDA order.
