ARP Spoofing

ARP Spoofing is a skill used by black-hat hackers in order to sniff packets on a switched LAN or stop the IP traffic on the LAN.

The prinicple of ARP Spoofing is by sending a spoofed ARP packet to the LAN. The packet contains a wrong MAC address of a host, as a result, the IP packets will be wrongly sent to the attacker or an unreachable host.

Using IPv6, IPSec and static ARP record will be a method to prevent from the ARP Spoofing Attacks.
