The Artemis Fowl series of books are a series of children's books written by Irish author Eoin Colfer. They star pre-teen evil genius Artemis Fowl, along with a host of characters.
This series is written in a half-serious language alternating with dark moments, found in a number of popular children's authors, including J. K. Rowling (Harry Potter) and Roald Dahl (The Witches).
