Berat
The town of Berat (Albanian: Berat or Berati) is located in southcentral Albania at 40.71°N, 19.96°E and has a population of around 45,500 (2003 est). It is one of the oldest towns of Albania at over 2000 years. Berat is known as The Town of a Thousand Windows due to the many windows of the houses that are built on the sloping base of a mountain.
