Born near Bijjada Bida in Bijapur near Mysore district, Karnataka
Works: Siddhanta Siroman in the year 1150 A.D. It consists of four parts:
- Lilavati (arithmetic)
- Bijaganita (algebra),
- Goladhyaya (celestial globe)
- Grahaganita (mathematics of the planets).
