The Bluetick Coonhounds are a subgroup of coonhounds whose origins may be traced back to the Bleu Gascogne French hounds. They were typically bred in Louisiana. They were registered in the UKC in 1946 as a separate breed, but originally fell under the English Fox and Coonhound.
