Braşov (Kronstadt in German, Brassó in Hungarian), a city in Romania, residence of the Braşov county. The total population of Brasov is 283,901, according to the 2002 census.
Braşov is located in the central part of the country, at about 160 Km from Bucharest and surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. It is part of the Transylvania region.

- The nearby Bran Castle, said to have belonged to Dracula (though nobody has proofs of that)
