A factory in Kidderminster was established in 1820 and was a major presence in the centre of the town as recently as 1999. Brintons remains a family-owned private company.
In the 1990s, Brintons ran an advertising campaign using costumes designed by Vivienne Westwood and made from the company's carpets.
