On early 2002, Corey Miller was arrested and charged of killing 16-year old Steve Thomas with a single gun shot to the chest during an dispute in Harvey, Louisiana. On October 1, 2003, Corey Miller was found guilty of second-degree murder, which carries a mandatory life sentence.
