California State Route 91
California State Route 91, also known as the 91, the Redondo Beach Freeway, the Artesia Freeway, and the Riverside Freeway, is a road, a freeway for all but a few seaward miles of its length, going between Redondo Beach in the west and Colton in the east. The 91 passes through Los Angeles County, Orange County, and Riverside County.
Although the 91 is an east-west road, it inherited its odd number from the former U.S. Route 91 which continued through the Inland Empire in a northeasterly direction for Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and points beyond. That part of U.S. 91 is now the greater part of Interstate 15.
