CISV

CISV Stands for Children's International Summer Villages. It is an international youth exchange organization of a unique kind. CISV was founded with the believe that lasting peace is possible through learning how to live together as friends. And to make this goal possible, CISV programmes are mainly targeted for children and youth.

History

CISV was founded in 1951 by Dr. Doris Allen of University of Cincinnati.

CISV Programmes

CISV have main programmes:
  • Village: a programme for children in the age of 11
  • Summer Camp: a programme for children in the ages 13-15
  • Interchange: a programme for children in the ages 13-16
  • Seminar Camp: a programme for youth in the age of 17-18
  • Youth Meeting: youth of all ages
