Princess of France and duchess of Brittany and Milan. Daughter of the french king Louis XII and the duchess Anne of Brittany.

She was married May 18 1514 in St. Germain-en-Laye with the count François of Anguleme. It was expected that the count of Anguleme would be king of France and Claude's father married her with him because of this and it was also for the fact of Claude's rights to Brittany.

She didn't have any political power and she was probably one of the darkest and less importants queens of France. However, she gave to his husband seven children, among them the future Henry II,the princess Magdalene, who would be later queen of Scotland and Margarite, duchess of Saboia.
