Cochrane, Ontario

Cochrane, Ontario is a town situated in the world's longest street Yonge Street (originally Highway 11), and the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located E of Kapuskasing, NE of Timmins, S of Moosonee, and N of Iroquois Falls.

Cochrane is surrounded on all sides by the Township of Glackmeyer.

A road connects to the station of the Northern Ontario Railway which heads north to Moosonee.

It is the birthplace of Tim Horton, a hockey player who founded the Tim Hortons donut and coffee shop chain in Hamilton, Ontario in 1964.
