Cory Doctorow

Cory Doctorow (b. July 17, 1971 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a science fiction author and technology activist. Some common themes of his work include Disney and junk. He won the John W. Campbell Award for best new writer in 2000. He lives in San Francisco, California and works as outreach coordinator for the EFF.

Doctorow has made electronic versions of the complete text of two of his novels and a short story collection free for download on his website, released under a Creative Commons licence. Recently, he expanded the license terms to allow deriviative works for non-commerical purposes.
