Crispin Hellion Glover (born April 20 or September 20 1964) is an American actor.
Glover played George McFly in Back to the Future. He was one of the few actors who did not return for the sequels.
Recently, Glover garnered some popular attention playing 'Thin Man' in the new Charlie's Angels films.
He made his directorial debut with What Is It? (2000). It is a strange film that took him about 5 years to finish, the majority of actors in the film have Down Syndrome.
Glover is also a musician and an "author" (most of what he does has less to do with actual writing).
- Released a record titled: The Big Problem Does Not Equal The Solution - The Solution Equals Let It Be (1989, Restless Records; features Clowny Clown Clown [ actually has it's own music video ] and a cover of Nancy Sinatra's These Boots Are Made for Walkin' )
- Published a few books: Rat Catching (Glover modified an old book by adding or deleting pictures, text, and drawings), Oak-Mot, What It Is & How It Is Done (a man's life told in first, second and third person)
The general opinion is that he is bizarre, macabre, eccentric, and funny. For example, he celebrates his birthday twice a year (April and September 20th).
He is known for being gifted mentally and is often called a genius.
