Deviant behavior
Deviant behavior is a behavior that is not accepted in the society or organizations. Crime is a good instance of this, but other behaviors caused by cultural difference can be seen as deviance. Formal and informal social controls attempt to prevent and minimize deviance, both serious deviance such as murder and trivial deviance such as picking one's nose. It also means not doing what the majority does or alternatively doing what the majority does not do. It doesn't necessarily mean criminal behavior.
