Dravograd is located at northern part of Slovenia, at the confluence of three rivers: the Drava, the Meža and the Mislinja.
The municipality consists of 24 settlements are contained in 5 local communities: Dravograd, Črneče, Libeliče, Šentjanž pri Dravograd, and Trbonje.
