The Earldom of Wharncliffe was created in 1876 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom for Edward Montagu-Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, the third Baron Wharncliffe. The subsidiary titles held with the Earldom are: Viscount Wharncliffe (created 1876) and Baron Wharncliffe (1826).
