East Los Angeles is a region of Los Angeles, California, United States that is usually defined as being east of the Los Angeles River. East L.A. communities include Boyle Heights, City of Commerce, City Terrace, El Sereno, Highland Park, Lincoln Heights, Montebello, Montebello Heights, Monterey Park, Pico Rivera and Whittier.
