Eighth Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan

The Eighth Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan was passed in 1985. It changed Pakistan's government from a Parliamentary system to a Semi-presidential system by giving the President a number of additional powers, including the right to dissolve the National Assembly at his discretion.
