The Family Coalition Party was founded in 1987 on a social conservative platform. In the 1990 Ontario election the FCP received over 100,000 votes but failed to elect anyone to the provincial legislature and has declined since then. The party is especially concerned about abortion, homosexuality and same sex marriage.
