It is unlikely that many feeder/feedee relationships actually exist, although some certainly do. The feeder is less an actual "orientation" and more of an icon of the fat admirer community. Many FAs fantasize about taking part in a feeding relationship, but few attempt to realize this fantasy.
Feeding is usually discouraged by the mainstream fat acceptance community as unhealthy and fetishistic. Advocates of feeding maintain that feeding relationships, if consensual, are perfectly healthy for both parties.
There is also a band called Feeder, with no connection whatsoever to the feeder/feedee subculture.
