Fernando Sor's studies are among the most widely respected in the entire classical guitar repertoire and are a resource for many a student. Often they are better composed than Giuliani or Carcassi studies and offer the same technical lessons but in a more subtle way that is subservient to the integrity of the piece. Therefore Sor's studies tend to be less tedious and are more pleasing. Some are even worthy of concert performance.
