Fred Carpaneto

Fred Carpaneto, during World War II, was a German SS Untersturmführer, of the 502nd SS Heavy Tank Battalion, and the commander of a Pzkw Königstiger tank. On January 25, 1945, while attempting to rejoin his battalion, Carpaneto encountered and destroyed a Russian company consisting of 16 T-34/85's and IS-II's.
