G-breve

Ğ ğ (G-breve) are letters used in Turkish, Azeri, Tatar languages. The capital Ğ letter is used only in Tatar.

ğ is pronounced as [gh] (IPA: [ɣ]), a voiced velar fricative, in Azeri and Tatar.

ğ has no independent pronunciation in Turkish, but rather indicates a lengthening of the preceding vowel.
