Despite his many talents, it can be said that his dancing ability is sub par.

Early Life

Gackt was forced to learn piano at the age of 3 by his unusually strict parents. His TV viewing was also limited to national and educational programming. Additions can be made later..

Days with Malice Mizer

Gackt appeared in the public eye in 1995 when he joined the visual kei band Malice Mizer as their new vocalist. His looks and voice elevated the band to a new level of popularity, bringing a soft romantic touch to Malice Mizer's music. However, in order to utilize his talents fully without the restraints of Mana, Gackt left the band to start a solo career, taking his share of Malice Mizer's fanbase with him, in 1999.

Solo Career

Gackt has enjoyed a great amount of success, with four albums and several singles as of 2003.

Gackt, along with Hyde of L'Arc-en-Ciel, starred in the Japanese film Moon Child.
