The Greening Earth Society is a public relations organization founded, funded, and controlled by the Western Fuels Association, an alliance of coal-burning utility companies. Through its published materials, the Society promotes the idea that there is considerable scientific doubt about the climate-warming effect of carbon dioxide. The Society publishes the World Climate Report, a newsletter edited by Patrick Michaels.\n
