Hancock Park is a tony district of Los Angeles, California. It was founded by the Hancock family which owned the Rancho La Brea area until oil drilling began in the area in the early 20th century. The boundaries of the area are Highland Avenue, Melrose Avenue, Wilshire Boulevard and Larchmont Boulevard.
