Handicapped
Handicapped is an adjective used to refer to a person or animal that is partially disabled or unable to use a limb or limbs. The use of this term, as well as the often derogatory "cripple" is sometimes considered offensive.
The term cripple however, specifically, can refer to a horse that cannot race.
