Haparanda is a Municipality in Norrbotten County, in northern Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 918.3 km². Of the total population of 10412, 5290 are male, and 5122 are female. The population density of the community is 11 inhabitants per km². It borders to the Finnish municipality of Torneå.
