Nasseralla came to power following Israel's military killing of Hezbollah leader Sheikh Musawi, his wife, and 3 year old daughter by helicopter fired Hellfire missiles.

A firm believer, Hezbollah could dominate the battlefield if it were trained properly in aggressive offensive warfare, Nasseralla called in favors owed him by the Lebanese government and had his best Hezbollah fighters attached to Lebanons Army Red Beret Commandos trained by American Green Berets.

Nasseralla had other of his best fighters assigned to the Lebanon Navy Marine Commando Regiment trained by American & British Seals & unofficially by elite unit instructors of UNIFIL forces stationed in Lebanon.

Many UNIFIL Instructors had good friends killed by deliberate shootings & minings of UNIFIL positions by IDF forces.

Results the training by foreign elite instructors succeeded, quickly became well known and by 1995 every IDF elite patrol & ambush patrol in South Lebanon, in turn stumbled into well-prepared Hezbollah ambushes and suffered killed & wounded to such a degree, IDF patrols were being constantly rendered ineffective.

Two of dozens of ambushes which attacted world attention was the Hezbollah mine & machine gun ambush of a 16 man Israeli SEAL patrol in 1997 ending with 11 SEALS killed, 4 wounded and 1 unscratched and a 1999 Israeli Paratrooper Recon 27 man patrol wandering into a 3 man Hezbollah ambush resulting in all Israeli officers killed and remaining soldiers refusing to chase unharmed retreating Hezbollah.

Hezbollah further added insult to injury at Soujoud when a real life Hezbollah RAMBO fighter crept into an Israeli outpost and fought with an Israeli paratrooper & escaped unharmed, but was not quick enough to drag the paratrooper to captivity.

Naserellas foresight to obtain only the best training & weapons for his Hezbollah fighters resulted in Israel evacuating S. Lebanon in May 2000.

More recently Naserella completed a complex exchange of prisoners with Israel resulting in hundreds of Palestinian & Hezbollah fighters being freed and bodies of their comrades returned to Lebanon.

Possessing the best military intelligence in the Middle East, Nasserella always contemplates Israels every future military move and easily negates it's mission.

Two years ago, American Deputy Defense Secretary gave Nasrallah and Hezbollah the Mother of all Compliments. Armitage called Hezbollah "the A-Team of Terrorists."
