Honam (호남; 浩南) is a name for the southwestern part of South Korea, namely the former Joseon Dynasty province of Jeolla. Today, the term refers to Gwangju and North and South Jeolla Provinces. Honam is used today in the name of the Honam railway line (Honamseon; 호남선; 浩南線) and Honam Expressway (Honam Gosok Doro; 호남 고속 도로; 浩南高速道路), which connect the Daejeon area to Gwangju and South Jeolla.
