Hubert de Givenchy (born February 21, 1927) was born in Beauvais, France into a wealthy family. In 1952, Givenchy opened his own atelier (fashion studio); later he named his first collection Bettina Graziani for Paris's top model. Today "The House of Givenchy" is led by designer Alexander McQueen.
