Inland Revenue

The Inland Revenue is a department of the British Government responsible for the collection of direct taxation such as Income Tax, National Insurance, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritence Tax, Petroleum Revenue Tax and Corporation Tax. More recently, the Inland Revenue have also administered tax credits, schemes whereby monies are paid by the Government into a recipient's bank account as part of their wage.
