Jerry Doyle (born 16 July1956, Brooklyn, New York) is an American actor best known for his role as Michael Garibaldi on the 1990's science fiction television series Babylon 5. Previous a corporate jet pilot and a stockbroker, Doyle made an abrupt career change into acting in 1991, and Babylon 5 was his first significant role. In 1998, Doyle, a Republican, ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. House of Representatives in California's 24th Congressional district.
