Kitab Al-Azif

Alternate and original-language title for the Necronomicon, a fictional book of magic and occult lore created by author H. P. Lovecraft for his Cthulhu Mythos stories. 'Al-azif' is the Arabic word for the sound made at night by desert insects, said by folklore to be the sound of demons.

Also called the "Book of the Arab".
