Since 1996 Literary Kicks has hosted poetry readings in New York City.

Another division, LitKicks Publishing, exists (since 1998). The first LitKicks publication was a digital video, named Notes From Underground, a reference to the Fyodor Dostoevsky story of the same name.

LitKicks current staff includes Levi Asher, Caryn Thurman and Jamelah Faith Earle.

The digital library of articles includes themes of:

Beat Generation, The Global Scene, Transcendental America, Alternative Victorian, African-American Lit, The Breakfast Club, Jazz Age, Postmodern Transgressive, La Boheme, Haiku and Eastern Poetry, Russian Lit, Summer of Love, Children's Literature and more, all contributed by members.

The website also hosts literary discussions, boards and lists.
