Lobsang Rampa aka Cyril Hoskins wrote several books about his alleged experiences and childhood in Tibet. His first and most famous book is The Third Eye published in 1956. The story was later exposed as a complete fraud, but its popularity (and its believers) proved enduring. Some people are concerned that Lobsang Rampa's books are still available in e.g. public libraries without a good warning.
