Louis Moréri (25 March, 164310 July, 1680) was an French encyclopedist.

His encyclopedia, Le grand Dictionnaire historique, ou melange curieux de l'histoire sacrée et profane (The Great Historical Dictionary, or Anthology of Sacred and Secular History) was first published in Lyons in 1671. The encyclopedia focused particularly on historical and biographical articles. Moréri dedicated his encyclopaedia to Gaillard de Longjumeau, the Bishop of Apt, to whom he had been appointed chaplain. Moréri's work was modified a number of times by others after his death and was translated into English, German, Italian and Spanish. A total of 20 editions were published between 1671 and 1759.

Moréri studied humanities in Draguignan and later rhetoric at the Jesuit College of Aix. He then studied theology and became an ordained a priest in Lyon. He was born in Bargemont, Frejus and died in Paris.
