Four sets of applications for Morphix are officially supported. These versions are mostly classified by their GUI, but each has its own set of applications:

• Morphix LightGUI comes with XFce4 and tries to stay small enough to fit on a mini-cd. Morphix Game uses XFce4 but has a very large number of games on it instead of applications.

• Morphix KDE comes with, as the name implies, KDE, and comes with many KDE-only applications.

• Morphix GNOME, formerly Morphix HeavyGUI, comes with applications for advanced users. All versions of Morphix have a hard disc installer, but it is only in early stages of development. There are scripts to automate the creation of Morphix discs.

Configuration

You can use F2 to get help during LiveCD initialization and use some commands :

• Morphix xmodule=fbdev for old graphics card
• Morphix lang=isolanguageabbreviation (i.e. Morphix lang=es to use spanish language and keyboard).

GNOME Morphix includes :

• Mozilla Internet suite with navigator, e-mail and newsgroups, Composer, address book and IRC chat.
• Ximian Evolution.
• OpenOffice.org office suite.
• XMMS and Totem video player.
• The Gimp
• Nautilus with icons to home, network, CD-ROM and floppy.
• An Install to hard disk icon. The bootfloppy for hard disk installation hasn't been implemented, morphix team is working on it.

On Linux, copy the image to your floppy drive using the dd command. (example dd if="image name" of=/dev/"floppy device name")

Then, put this disk in the drive, and the CD ( or the second hard disk) in the drive and select cdrom from the boot devices area.
