Muhammed al-Dura

Muhammed al-Dura was a twelve year old Palestinian boy killed on October 6, 2000 by gunfire during a firefight between Palestinian gunmen and Israel Defense Forces soldiers. He became a symbol when television crews filmed the scene of a terrified twelve-year-old boy clutching his father seeking to avoid being caught in the crossfire between Israelis and Palestinians.
