It mainly serves the Hong Kong Island, and also parts of Tseung Kwan O and Western Kowloon. It also provides cross-harbour routes linking between the Hong Kong Island and Kowloon or New Territories jointly with Kowloon Motor Bus.
Recently, it has expanded its service to Kunming of China since 2004.
