The Nintendo DS is a forthcoming dual-screen portable video game console from Nintendo, scheduled to be launched worldwide in 2004. According to preliminary reports, the console will feature two separate 3-inch TFTLCD display panels, separate processors, and semiconductor memory of up to 1 Gigabit (128 MB). The console will not be compatible with Nintendo's present products Game Boy Advance or GameCube. Details of the new platform will be announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles in May 2004.
